Meet Dr. Kristin Kukenberger
Dr. Kristin was born and raised in New Jersey. She attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where she earned a BA in Environmental Studies while also focusing on completing her pre-medical course requirements. She continued her education at New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in Seneca Falls, NY obtaining her Master of Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition (MSACN) and her Doctorate in Chiropractic (DC) simultaneously.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Kristin has taught at Le Moyne College in Syracuse since 2016 in the Biology Department. She currently teaches Anatomy & Physiology for nursing majors in their freshman year. Dr. Kristin loves to watch her students learn about the human body and grow as future healthcare providers! She also worked as a Graduate Associate at NYCC where she had the opportunity to help develop the chiropractic adjusting & clinical skills of many future chiropractors!
Dr. Kristin is Webster Certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Webster is a chiropractic technique used to treat sacroiliac misalignment during pregnancy which restores balance to the pelvis often easing the labor process. Other adjusting techniques utilized in practice include diversified, sacro-occipital technique (SOT), Activator, myofascial release, ConnecTx (instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation) & RockTape.
Current plans for professional development include completing the ICPA's Certification by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP).
Outside of practicing & teaching, Dr. Kristin spends time with her spouse, Chris, kayaking, hiking, swimming & traveling or home with their dogs & cats.
