Pediatric Care

Special life stages require special care

Pediatric Care:

Pediatric care includes patients from newborn to 21 years old to include college students.

Chiropractic treatment is safe at all ages as the chiropractic adjustive force used is

reduced greatly according to body size. In fact, the amount of force used on babies

during treatment is about the same you would use to check for ripeness in a red tomato.

In children, chiropractic care can be used for wellness to establish and maintain a healthy nervous system allowing them to grow, learn, concentrate and play at an optimal level without interference. Interference of the nervous system can be caused by both normal birth events and extenuating circumstances that lead to the use of extraction tools such as C-section, vacuum or forceps. During labor, baby is squeezed by the contracting uterus and as they make their way through the pelvis & birth canal. Prolonged labor times, intrauterine constraint, and any amount of pulling or twisting by practitioners during the birth process, including the use of extraction tools like suction, forceps, etc., can result lasting nervous system interference. Chiropractic adjustments restore this balance to joints and their surrounding nerves, the spinal cord & the brain (the nervous system components) which influence and control every organ system in the body (circulatory, respiratory, digestive, hormonal, elimination and immune systems). Chiropractic care for children has been effective in improving lymphatic draining, improving lung function, reducing inflammation, improving blood flow, improving musculoskeletal function, improving energy, improving digestion, and improving genitourinary function. Adjustments can also improve feeding success (by addressing the associated muscles) and set your child up for a healthier life overall. Chiropractic does not seek to cure these conditions and advice from a medical professional or Naturopathic doctor should be sought in conjunction.
