It’s difficult to pick out just the right prenatal….there are so many options! We love TheraNatal vitamins for a few reasons:
They have methyltetrahydrofolate (MTHF)*, the most readily usable form of folate, to be sure you’re actually absorbing the folate you and baby need, regardless of any possible gene mutation status.
They contain Choline which is essential to brain and neural tube development in your little one and reduced any inflammation. This isn’t found in all prenatals.
Optimized amounts of vitamin D (3,000IU), DHA (300mg), iodine (220mcg), iron (27mg), & B vitamins.
They are in convenient day-by-day packaging (marked Monday through Sunday on the back) that you can throw in your bag for later in the day, or just remember if you took it today!
You get a 91-day supply and you can schedule a subscription delivery to make your life easier.
They have prenatals specific to pre-conception, pregnancy, and postnatal, because your needs DO change.
No artificial dyes. Gluten free. Dairy free. Shellfish allergy safe. (If you avoid cow products, please note this gelatin capsule is bovine.)
These prenatal vitamins cost just less than 75cents per day and they give you everything you need!

*Methylated Folate is important to include in your prenatal because:
It is difficult to get what you need from food alone
It has been fully converted already and is ready for absorption in your body. 40% of humans lack the gene needed to make conversions happen (from folate or folic acid to a usable methyltetrahydrofolate (MTHF)) efficiently or at all. It’s call the MTHFR gene variant. If you have it, and you wouldn’t know without testing, any non-methylated folate isn’t providing this essential B vitamin to you or your baby’s growth.
So, for safety, methylated folate is the way to go!
